80th Anniversary of 1st Caringbah Scout Group
A large number of people from several scouting 'generations' attended an afternoon in the hall grounds to celebrate this event. The second pic is of this group of prior leaders and ladies Auxiliary members.
The eldest person was 91-Ron-who gave a great speech.

Another -Peter, demonstrated a link between the Group and the battle at Mafeking.
The wife of a current leader had made a quilt from all the squares of material given to each member.
I was honoured to be awarded a plaque, for the hall wall, acknowledging my service to the group- a complete surprise and a very touching citation as well.
The Parent support Group and leaders did a magnificent job of planning and executing the event and we were blessed with great weather as well.
