Kingston Lacey

Saturday--visited NT property +6000 acres of Kingston Lacey--home of the Bankes family for over 300 years, with some splendid formal gardens.
Our great-niece Jamie (2 years) enjoyed it all.
In the grounds were a 23 strong scout group from a local district on a 7-day camp. They wear T-shirts with group name, much as we do at 1st Caringbah. In true scouting tradition they climbed all the trees, worried the room attendants in the mansion and generally had a good time! Their next stop is Brownsea island.
Thanks to Dave Sansom (ex Downer) for the pic of his troop at Corfe Castle in 1955--all showing similar disrespect to an ancient monument!
