A day in London with a cousin

Following a rail trip by Chiltern rail from Great Missenden, passing through Harrow on the Hill -place of my birth, I found cousin Keith lurking with his Kindle  by a pillar at Piccadilly tube station ticket barrier.

Keith  had arranged for us to go to a lunch-time cello recital given in an old church in Piccadilly. The cellist' name was Rowena --which seemed somehow apt. She was a very accomplished performer. No photos were allowed but I took one afterwards of the stained glass window.

Before the concert we walked through Green Park and came to the 'Palace' just as changing of the guard was finishing and two London 'Bobbies' were guarding the courtyard entrance (complete with AK 47's!).

Being in Piccadilly felt like being in the centre of the world,

with the theatres and shops and Eros statue.  Finally, back home with Mary nursing Max in the lounge with Jacqui.
