A night and morning in Cremorne

We drove to Cremorne yesterday, to visit Michael and Kris, where Michael had booked us into a guest house--one of the oldest in Sydney. Cremorne could not be more different to Cronulla. When the whole peninsular became available the Council banned any private waterfront development, thus preserving a wide strip for public walking access, which provide spectacular views of Sydney harbour along well maintained paths.

The houses are almost entirely sandstone or brick and seem never to change hands outside families. We saw only one 'sold' sign in a one and half hour walk  and that was an apartment. The shore line itself seems reserved for ferry ports and many community waterbased activities. All the streets have proper pavements and there's a real public pride in preserving the coastal flora.

Saturday lunch we went to restaurant, thanks to Kris,  where they served a 'masterchef' meal! Really tasty.
