A rose is a rose is a rose.....
In about 1960 my lovely uncle George, a great gardener, discovered in a rose garden, a brand new hybrid-Blue Moon with a delicate blue colour and very pleasant scent. I remember it clearly but had never seen one since, that is until last Thursday when our band was performing in a local large aged care complex , Frank Vickery Village.
There, in the main flower bed was what I instantly recognised as a Blue Moon Rose, 63 years later. It was a salutory moment of reflection for me.
