Fete de St John --Aix en Provence
There is a pic near here of Capucine's mother Lyn and another one of her many friends.
The night of the fete de St John was a splendid affair, with dancing in the streets, around large open fires and costumed people--one in particular -- a mother and child--was enchanting. There was a display of Provence traditional costumes on the steps of the steps of the Cathedral St Saveur.

The man with the whistle or recorder, reminded me so much of "It is I, le Clair' from 'Allo 'Allo that I could hardly stop from laughing out loud!
While in Aix -en-Provence we took buses to the seaside towns of Cassis and Caitot--both splendid resorts by a warm sea.
