While swimming in the rock pool at Shelley beach the other day, we spotted a stunningly coloured fish in about 2 metrres of water. Mary checked online and identified it as a Red Gunard, sighted in Botany bay in 2009, so it may be quite rare.It had two sets of 'wings--one red and one blue.
I managed to get one decent pic underwater, on an underwater camera setting.

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
