Ann and John at Hughenden

Friends Ann and John drove up from Ashtead to meet us at Hughenden. Somehow we didn't get any pictures of them.

They did however,get one of me in a gown of some high order of state in the 'dressing up' room. I felt that it suited me and was nicely warm in the 9 Deg C cold.

An ancient Yew tree caught my attention, as did the volunteer restorers working now in public time in the rooms and some more 'pithy' sayings from Disraeli. The name 'Piers' seems appropriate for head gardener at a stately home.
