Annecy Markets and Semnoz Massif

Jean Yves, the father of one of our Sydney friends, met us and took us around the markets in old Annecy, explaining the history of the area and recommending that we return via a 'hill' of some 1600metres height, from which we could see Mont Blanc and have a 180 degree view.
Distant mountain views often do not report the splendour of the scene, but we were very impressed. There was a memorial plaque at the top, subject of a TV programme.
Later we visited a couple more lake swimming spots, but without swimming.
