Arrival in Paris

Following a lettuce leaf snack at Sydney Airport, we made an ontime start for Singapore, where we met up with Caryl and Will, to arrive at Roissy, on time. Like all good travellers these days, our first action was to buy coffee and  bury ourselves for 30 minutes in our telecommunications devices, adding SIM cards, WiFi hotspots etcetc.

Negotiating the RER network (after rush-hour--it was very comfortable and clean) and Metro ticket system (thanks Roger and Lorraine) we finally made a wearied path to the 18th century apartment block in the chic end of the 10eme (boboland), Thanks Jacqui!

The apartment truly is 'bobo- like' (bourgeoise bohemian) well-appointed and spacious. I include a pic from our window of the street.

After croissants and a shower, Jacqui lead us on a whirlwind walking tour towards the Canal St Martin, Seine, passing so many typically 'Parisien' scenes (some pictured) ,  where we ate crepes, then on to the Louvre, where jet-lag set in and we limped home via metro. Weather just brilliant.

We comprise, Mary, myself, Alison, Caryl, Will, Jacqui, Tom and  Michael.

((Roger--I confirm ALL your interesting observations!)
