Today we finished the circumnavigation of the Acropolis via the ancient  Plaka settlement under the rock. It was very satisfying to have completed it, though very slowly in 33DegC heat. It really does resemble Santorini except near the top where many homes are in a very dilapedated condition. How you get a dishwasher along the narrow pathways would be something to see.

At the highest point we emerged onto a small flat area where a petite and well dressed lady immediately began talking to us about being careful then introduced herself as Sabrina coming from Cashmere (She wore long clothes and scarves which looked expensive.) She is  attending a scholarship meeting of IT  postgrads working on novel AI issues at a local university. She spoke at a million miles an hour in good English and also spoke Farsi and Hindu, but not to us. I took a pic but she does not want it on the internet so I can only show you individually on my phone. It's not going to the cloud because my quota is exceeded. She would know what the risks are.

She spoke on many topics and was clearly widely educated. Sabrina told us that all her family and friends say she talks to much, but she certainly doesn't talk nonsense or trivia. She was a pleasure to talk to.

We had lunch in a cafe on a corner of cobbled streets.

I climbed the last short distance to the top of Arapegasos, a hill near the Acropolis from which Paul preached in AD 51. I had a clear view of the Parthenon.

At last Mary found a top she liked, in the Plaka area,  after days of looking!
