Australia Day Jan 26 2025 -Cronulla by beach

This has become a controversial date as there is increasing recognition of it also being 'invasion day' by Britain. The date may get changed. A very divisive issue as you might imagine. There is now increasing use of Aboriginal place names for broadcasting stations "This is Joe Blow speaking to you from Gadigal land" etc. Sounds to me much more natural than saying 'from Swansea, or Newcastle' when it's blindingly obvious that it's not  not Swansea or Newcastle! I actually saw and heard a poorly educated young person saying that it was remarkable that the UK had named so many of it's towns after Australian ones! He wasn't joking.

Being a firework 'afficionado' I look out for novelty in fireworks. The range of colours available is now the full extent of commercially available metal elements from the Periodic Table, which produce colour on oxidation. That's it, for the whole observable universe!

You can mix them or use them in more complex ways but the stock of colours is limited to what we now have.

Consequently ore work is going into the complexity of patterns--quite a difficult 'art' in the manufacturing process. Difficult to capture exactly right moment and video files too large.
