Back walking

Finally , Saturday, able to don walking boots, grab poles and march off into national park tracks! Starting in a gentle way at nearby Kurnell, in history as the place where Captain Cook's ship Endeavor first landed and forced colonisation began.

Some good tracks to a whale watching station. It's migration season and many  whales passing but not surfacing much, when we were there, anyway. All went well.

People fish from a large rock platform there, which is very dangerous so they've posted a dramatic sequence of pics to show how an unexpected wave can engulf you in less than 8 seconds!

Many upgrades underway, toilets, new museum, new (70 million dollar ) wharf for a non-existent (as yet--oops!) ferry to other side of Botany Bay. Visitors seem to like walking on it, anyway. A lot of head scratching and remorse at Council meetings no doubt.

Kayak update--Had a break due to surgical removal of 5 BCC's from back and arm plus drastic face treatment, now very successfully complete , Thanks to two Belgian (I think) chemists who developed Flourouracil in 1957. Potent topical Chemotherapy agent.
