Chartwell to Hope Cove
While I was at the Cutty Sark (which, by the way, is the Scottish name for an Australian 'skivvy') Mary was at Winston Churchill's home of Chartwell.
One pic shows friend Anne--who authored the book mentioned in a previous post.
The next day we drove to Hope Cove in Devon, to our thatched cottage by the sea, to meet up with Caryl and Will.

The next day we did the 11 mike walk from Bolt Tail to Bolt Head, near Salcombe.
A very picturesque part of the S. Coast Path, finishing with a cup of tea!
The walk ends at Overbeck House--an NT property

Back at the cottage I enjoyed some aptly named ales! Another feature of England are the post boxes--always featuring the reign of the monarch when they were installed. We found several with VR on them--making them over 100years old.
