Christmas Carols and house decorations

Tonight was the St Phils Carol Concert where our French playgroup and some  conversation class members did 'Vive le Vent', ably lead by Kylie.

There was a band, face-painting, jumping castle, BBQ and skits involving wild Australian characters--all with a Christmas message.

After, we visited some local streets and saw how dramatically the development of LED lights had changed the house displays--some were just stunning. The point lights aren't handled well by digital imaging --causing streaks--which spoiled some pics.  

When whole streets of houses are lit-up like this--the effect can be entrancing.Some people went to extraordinary trouble and even had laser-lights casting pattersn on garage doors or drive-ways. Even life-sized Nativity scenes.

At the end of one cul-de-sac we saw a rare car in the drive and discovered that the house and car belonged to some acquaintences of ours .  A Corvette, I think it is.
