Colonoscopy update

After the much dreaded night of laxative preparation (!) I went in trepidation to the hospital and to lowest point of being 'trolleyed' into the theatre with canula in arm and gown and hat. Staying calm by practising the 'Mindfulness' techniques passed to me by daughter Alison.

Result--no polyps, no tumours, just a condition that apparently 40% of us have- diverticular disease (not, the specialist emphasised, diverticulitis!)--easily managed with a high fibre diet. I was convinced of having polyps at the very  least. Just goes to show. How is it that such a common condition never seems to get talked about??

Such a relief after 3 months of waiting for specialists to come back from all their leave.

I had also been suffering from a back pain on one side that was really debilitating, but my physio has cured that in two sessions of targeted treatment  plus some excercises. She's brilliant.

So just the aneurysm op now --'just'--ha!---the one thing that should have been proccupying my mind all this time.
