Crab sandwiches and South Milton Sands

Crab sandwiches and South Milton Sands

Yesterday was gloriously sunny and we walked to South Milton Sands to meet Sally and Robin at the 'Beach House' Milton Sands, for lunch.

The beach was set up for a 'big activity day' run partly by the National Trust. There was kayaking and paddleboarding and it was like a mini-version of Cronulla!

We always have a competition to see who can see the famed  Eddystone Lighthouse, 18 miles out to sea. In fact a digital camera picks it out even when not visible to the naked eye.

Mary insisted on  a picture of her pointing at it.

I also include some more pics of the interior of our compact thatched cottage.

(There will be no blog about today, Sunday as the weather turned dreadful. However, if you are curious, we repeated almost exactly, last year's visit to Beesands--which you can see if you type 'Beesands' intothe search engine--clever!)
