Cuddington

Yesterday we visited Combe hill, peak of the Chilterns at 900  feet and the Boer War monument.

In the forest, some wag had placed a paper 'eye' on a lochness monster shaped piece of forest timber.

Michael came from london last night for  meal and styaed the night. In the morning, Louis tried his motorbike for size before Michael sped away on it!

Cuddington, a half hour away, is one of the most picturesque villages in Bucks, with many awards. The town and village names always fascinate me and I think Long Crendon may be where the author of Larkrise to Candleford, lived.

The church dates back to 1086 and there is evidence of all architechtural styles from Saxon through Tudor to Victorian and modern, as well as traits of the social history and feudalism in layout of fields and old buildings.
