Cycle along Cooks River

Daughter Caryl and myself took our bikes to near the airport where there is a good off-road cycle track into the city.

It passes through allotments, many parks and reserves, beside the river for most of it and briefly across a few roads. I was surprised at how rural the area is. The airport is not in view and we didn't see many planes--funny that!?  We covered over 20Kms there and back.

I used the official bike number plate at the rear -good thing too-we were followed by a police car several miles on the way home!
