Departure

As Friday draws closer so does our departure at 12.30pm on that day, so it is time to thank all those family and friends that we have met during our 9 weeks here, some of whom hosted us--Sally and Robin, Myra and Trevor and Ginny and Robert--thanks so much for that opportunity.

Our visit timing and main purpose was of course, all centred around the arrival of Max, who is thriving well and making himself known to one and all!

To be able to spend time with those  of you, who live reasonably close, including surprise encounters (Gary and Cheryl) has been a great pleasure and we apologise for those we haven't managed to reach, mainly Petrea,  Bob's schoolfriends Ron and Dave also John and Lesley, Tony and Hilary, Joan and Meric and our Nottingham friends and friends further afield.

The challenge of the 'beast from the east' to our health also caused some lost time and opportunities. Bob was really looking forward to cooler weather after the Sydney heat, but what we got was far more extreme than we expected.

Seeing something of the spring blossom has been a compensation however and we take back some good memories in addition to the main pleasure of being here to see our immediate family and get to better know grandson Louis , who, at nearly four, is now a very independant little personality.

Until next time

Love   Bob and Mary
