Disembarkation

Up at 5.00am ,final pack, hugs from room stewards, level 7 World Cafe for breakfast, down to deck one for final sign off and exit onto coach, drive to Venice Stationne Maritimma to be reunited with main luggage then taxi to Best Western hotel Tatiana by 10.00am to find room not available till 2.00pm and no decent shops at all nearby.

We used the lounge area to do digital check in for tomorrow and do messaging.

I'd had luggage issues right from the start, basically carrying too much for case size,  so backpack and additional annoying bags etc etc.

We ventured out and stepped into the only general shop, basically a very small  Italian $2 shop and there was a really neat cabin sized wheely bag! The English speaking shopkeeper's son, obviously knowing these bags  hadn't sold in yonks, wisely dropped the price and deal done. Back to hotel to find it was the perfect solution, except Easyjet now wanted an extra 50 euros for the cabin bag! I did know that and the overall solution so good that I didn't mind. Such a relief. To find the solution in a $2 shop was a real bonus. The bag's even got easily detachable wheels to meet size standards.I also found an Easyjet app that creates a virtual 'cage' with your phone that you apply to the bag to see if it passes. Amazing.So being delayed in room entry actually presented an opportunity. You never know.
