Easter Island

On a long haul from Sydney via Tahiti through S. America, the Caribbean, France and the UK, we stopped at Easter Island for 4 days. It rained a lot. We include some pics of the Easter Island man who ran our accommodation and cooked (quite a character-Raoul), our bedroom, some dancers  and one or two of the caves that the peoples lived in to evade the Chilean ships enslaving young men from the island for work in mines in Chile. There are over 800 statues and you may recall the book Aku Aku by the explorer Thor Heyerdhal.
