EEEeeek.........!
Michael and Kris and boys came down for Caryl's 50th birthday party (!) .
We hosted Louis, Max, Lachie and Harry as well as Mike and Kris overnight while the partygoers took over a local wine bar.Looks like it was very jolly!
Michael had offered to bring their E Bike with them so I thought 'why not'?
It is a large model bike, takes two adults and a child and it weighs 40Kg -so hard to manoeuvre from rest position.
Riding is very smooth with powerlevel, throttle and gears and brakes all easy to use and very effective. I was suitably impressed. For Michael and family it's instead of a small second car for local shopping , work etc, so better environmentally .

There's no way it's just a 'bike'--it's a real motorbike and in my view should have licensing, plates and training and form part of highway code instruction. It's not safe for pedestrians on pavements, though round here kids are riding them everywhere. Although we do have some laws that would restrict their use, no governmental authorities, including police, seem to be saying or doing anything about it.
The lighter versions may need less regulation.
In the weekend, Kris was able to spend about an hour and half to sort out my complex email compatibility problems and left me with some stark choices to make about the path forward to more simplicity!
