End of May and early June 2026
We had our annual French market at a local bilingual primary school -packed as usual -about 5000 pass through. 80 stalls -all with a direct connection with France. Our stall sold $500 worth of secondhand books, amazing. Weather was good fortunately Alison and Craig arrived today in Paris on start of a European trip. I have continued kayaking but shoulder still a bit sore from my little trip in the National Park. Pic above is Jacqui and family when we spent half a day on the local Hacking river -vey pleasant. May has had another very successful choir performance with large attendance.
There are pics of Max with his collection of footy cards and of Lachie in his PPE -his apprenticeship with me on learning how to use simple tools has started.
Our new solar system is working very well and we have used very little grid power since commissioning and earned about $60 -a bit measly but still....
We joined a very small local Whats App gardening group. Once a month members visit one of the gardens for an hour. No formality, just walk around and discuss successes and failures and give tips, maybe exchange some seedlings or produce or chemicals then leave. No attendance, paperwork, tea or coffee etc -very simple. We offered to host one and 11 people came. It turned out that three (inc me) are industrial chemists--very unusual. One of them is taking the pic. She is also national level Outrigger kayaker competitor!

With this website, annoyingly I can't edit as before so all pics in a line . It's also not intuitive to access. On the plus side it's got good security.
