Family arrive!

Yesterday, our two nieces, Alex and Philippa, their husbands, 4 children, our nephew David, his fiancee and our sister-in-law, were all here. Quite a family affair!

This area of Dorset is abundant in chalk and sands and we walked out onto a very chalky peninsula-Old Harry Rocks--which is spectacular but very scary, in the strong wind that we felt, as there are sheer drops and no railings. A sign advised that 4 dogs had fallen over the edge in last year. We are standing at the tip of the land, with sheer drops on three sides.

From a beach that we spent some time on, I spotted a magnificent display of wild foxgloves.

We ate a pub lunch and I include the menu here, for interest. The crab salad is to be recommended!

All 13 of us ate our evening meal in the garden --in a corner to avoid the wind--although bright and sunny late into the evening.
