Farewelling a Scout Leader

Saying 'farewell' to Scout Leader 'Salty' -- a senior officer in the Royal Australian Navy, just had to be a spectacular, water-based event, so we built a Pirate Ship for him!

He (and his parrot!) were  later suitably treated to eggs, flour and other foodstuffs, after about 40 scouts had paddled up the river towards Audley for an hour.

After 'dunking ' him to clean him up a bit, he was also presented with a commemorative plaque and thanked by the District Commissioner and senior scout leader, for many years of service.
