Four more weeks of Lockdown--hard to believe
Yes, The Delta variant has shown the weaknesses in the rollout of the vaccine.
Today I had an early evening landline call which turned out to be a live Q & A session with our PM, Scomo! He lives near here and it was only local people called.
I listened to a couple of the questions--'we're all vaccinated, why can't I visit my 90 yo grandmother in a nursing home ?' and 'why not hit the hotspots with extra vaccine ?'
He sounded a if we was going to answer the first question but then veered off into a speech on the 'plan'. The second one he gave a reasonable answer to and he paid lip service to the stress it all caused, but it continued as just marketing speak for next election, so I rang off.
Today we did a walk in the RNP behind Engadine station. Goarra Ridge, I think. The tracks were really pleasant and through dense bush and forest areas. Some flowers out, but few and far between.
Some pics but first the ones from a coastal walk on Tuesday with a couple of mates, to Solander point. The first pic courtesy of Strava.
Also Mary's prize pumpkin--basis for an industrial quantity of soup!
