Garden in January 2020

In spite of the drought , showing mostly in the brown-patched lawn, we have some healthy blooms, partly attributable to used washing machine and water collected waiting for the hot water to come through.

I was advised that the tree fern accesses  water from to crown or top --I didn't believe it but did it anyway for some months. The result has been the most spectacular growth I have ever seen in the tree! I've had to cut some off, it got so crowded.

The splendid Wattle bird continues to live around here and defend his territory, sustained by our honey.

The Frangi-pani petals look spectacular intermingled with the green of young plants. The climbing rose has finally climbed. Mary's potted plants in varieagated pots look colourful, while the sun still looks weird through high level smoke. Finally a couple of views looking north from the backyard gates
