Garden July 2020

OK--some of you weren't able to 'see' the pics. Apparently that's because you can't copy and paste from Google pics, you have to download first-pain! Anyway, this should work!

My garden is full of people -people who gave me ideas or plants

Some coral from a family holiday on Lindemann Island

Deadnettle from a seed packet given out at a family wedding

A dinosaur from a place of employment (??!)

Coloured bromeliad from a band clarinet colleague

Red cordyline that a neighbour threw out

Succulent from a neighbour we met through a neighbourhood website

A reclusive pink dwarf hydrangea from another clarinet colleague after we loaned her a car

Geranium cutting from the garden of a walking friend.

Rose bushes from two our eldest daughters

and not shown--Australian grasses at suggestion of visiting English friend

Cornflowers and calendulas from Royal Hort Soc visit with friends

Snowdrops from garden of daughter and son-in-law

Winter Rose and other plants and  ornaments from a daughter

Fresias from a neighbour I walk with

Dwarf pine from a cousin

Salvia donated by Mary (she's asked for it back!)

Frangi Panni tree from shoot bought at school fête 40 years ago.... all of which leads me to think of the couplets from a poem:-

"When you have a garden,

you are never on your own

And I believe we all should have,

a garden of our own"

I always think of all these people when I walk around the garden.

Great in a time of lock-down
