Golden Bay
A number 225 bus (photo)took us across the island to the only sandy beaches on Malta- and very popular they are too, but no comparison for Cronulla. Quite a long set of steps down as well.
We didn't swim but walked in the hills behind for views of all the bays. The geology is interesting and there are many exposed and highly fragile areas at risk of fragmentation. One area looks like an exciting and dangerous mountain bike track!
As you would expect for an island, every car is Maltese registered, except this one number plate I saw today, which Mary reliably informs me (from her car spotting days) comes from Paris.
