Invited to a birthday party!!

On a day when it reached 41 Deg C in Sydney---we were invited to the 16th birthday party of one of our Venture Scouts--Sonik Patel--an Indian family.

Sonik is our longest serving scout in our large group (see www.1st caringbahscouts.com) and recently did a solo glider flight in one of the gliders belonging to Scouts NSW.

The first pic is of our 'Galileo Thermometer' in the kitchen--which contains glass spheres --the highest sphere only sinks at 36 Deg C --which it did yesterday!

The party included Saris and Mary wore hers, the one she bought and used in Bangladesh many years ago!

Being a young persons and a scout party--there was no alcohol and it was an unusual  pleasure to be in such a mixed age group, enjoying the music and conversations and jokes
