It's all coming to an end

Thursday 29th July we moved to Baden Powell Hotel in Kensington, after a nightmare trip returning the AVIS car to kensington --the GPS was an absolute God-send, with one-way streets, road works and things all causing changes of route. For some reason the lady on the GPS didn't seem to get at all flustered--very different to my 'other' navigator!!

During this return we also called in to see the two-week old latest great nephew, Matthew, pictured here somewhere below.

We visited son Michael who, previous day, had had a badly infected sebacious cyst  removed from his back, at Homerton 'lumps and bumps' hospital, nearby. After some overnight ordeal, he was glad to have it removed and he looked well. We ate that night with Michael, Jacqui and Tom in an Egyptian restaurant.

We went on a 'London Walk' tour, today, Friday 30th and learned a lot about the fascinating St James area of London and saw a parade of the Household Cavalry. Also passed the famous/notorious Peter Mandelson' in the street in St James' area!

We also met up with life-long friend Rilla, at her plush Picadilly work address!

Tomorrow  (Saturday 31st) is Mary's birthday --maybe a surprise in store?!

All coming to a close as we leave on Monday.
