Jessica's grand final netball team win!

The dream of the 'Magpies' was realised yesterday when, in a hotly fought contest, in extra time (after a draw at full time)  the Magpies (black and white uniform) beat Our Lady of Fatima school. All games were  interrupted for half an hour by a medical emergency on another of the many courts, during which time the Magpie's  coach had the girls performing the NZ 'Hakka' and doing other amusing, but useful exercises.

In the extra time, both teams really looked 'switched on' --they had truly grasped what strategy and tactics mean and looked so much more skilled than their ages would suggest. The crowd was genuinely enthralled and roared at  each goal.  A very exciting morning!
