Leaving Devon, Lyme Regis and Swanage boat race

This entry starts with a pic of our car and beyond it--the Devon flag, then later a pic of the Dorset flag-there will be a test later!

We travelled via Lyme Regis which Mary had stayed at  on a holiday when she was nine. We passed the place where she stayed and the landlady said she still wanted the spoon back that Mary took with her! Couple of pics of the harbour.

When we arrived at Swanage, they must have known we were coming as they organised a County Boat Race for us--quite an affair. We met up with a niece-Philippa and her husband Nick and two boys Sam and Matthew. A girl, fishing on the pier (which you had to pay to go on to!) caught a small fish and her family agreed I could take a pic.

There are divers and gas refilling points on the pier. If you surface too quickly, there is a pink buoy (photo) with the number of the nearest hyperbaric chamber, so you whip out your waterproof mobile and call them............!

We enjoyed fish and chips in the back garden and Sam and Matthew insisted on being  photographed on their beds!

Footnote--I seem not able to add pics at this time, on this network, as I am getting an error message--maybe a security setting....will investigate--solved--thanks Will---all sorted !!
