Leaving France

Tomorrow night we leave France from Roscoff by ferry for Plymouth. There are today's pictures below, plus Quimper tomorrow and the ferry, but I do not know where I can next log on as there is no link in Hope Cove (unless things have changed there), but it will continue.

About 30 people follow this blog--for which thank you very much for your interest.

Some of you may only be interested in the France section--if so--au revoir for now!

For everyone else--sorry if there is a delay of a few days--maybe there will not be, let's hope!

Best regards  Bob and Mary

Arzon is in the Gulf of Morbihan, Bretagne and Christiane had saved a tour of the sea there until our last full day here. The area is so enchanting that we would have liked to visit it more often. She wanted to keep the 'best till last'! The villages are all small fisjing villages with very small, very old, houses--now renovated--dating back to the 1600's. At lunch-time, Chritiane had prepared a delicious dish in her Morrocan 'Teejun' --so we had the traditional long French lunch!

These pictures do not do it credit. Brice will recall some of the other places he has lived there. There was also a castle with a huge dovecote--with internal holes in the walls for the doves. A very attractive church  had a person inside explaining everything, in French of course. I had a 'Roger' moment when he had finished, 10 minutes later  and said in a loud voice "I'm Australian--could you say all that again in English?" He looked totally stunned and was speechless.

We finish with pics in he restaurant for our last evening meal with Christiane--including Mary sampling a local sea-creature 'delicacy' which even the waitress said she did not like!!
