Meals

We fare-welled a couple ( Anne- born in  NZ  and Olivier - born in France) from our French group at a posh-ish restaurant -they are spending a year in France and Europe .  Olivier has been our FASS President for a few years now and will be very much missed.

Then we had our monthly French 'Causerie' in a member's home, where Phillipe cooked a Sunflower (Tournesol ) or Sun (Soleil) dessert.

It looks a like an octopus with 18 legs but opens up bright yellow -also very tasty! One of the French ladies there, who we  hadn't met before , told us she is the graphic artist appointed to design the Olympic logo at each event! The  Olympics was 'resurrected by the French, you may recall, so they have a large influence over organistion.
