Montjoi is a very small town, buildings and gardens presented in such a manicured way as to be like a film-set. There are painted fibreglass cows and every building --some medieval--appear scrubbed.

By contrast, in modernity, very close to our village--almost in sight--are two big nuclear electricity plants--on the river Garonne, built against enormous local public pressure. The tallest cooling towers in Europe-- The plants employ 1000 people and-with other such plants,  allow France to meet all the emissions targets for a sustainable climate and the French nuclear industry is the only one with no waste generation (according to Lucas Heights nuclear engineers)
