More beautiful gardens, more narrow lanes
Saturday 17th was another sunny day when we walked to Bantham and on Sunday 18th, (today) we left and travelled to Swanage, Dorset, via distant relatives living in a 14th century house in an ancient village in Devon-Stoke Gabriel, with a garden 'to die for' --not at all precisely laid out but full of native English flowers and fruit trees. It's beyond descriptive words.......
The lanes are so narrow here that only one car at a time fits the road and leaves brush on both sides of the car--YET--it is a two lane road! So lot of polite reversing is needed to tiny lay-bys. Never yet had an argument! Even buses and trucks use these lanes--they NEVER reverse!
