My 80th and Elliot's 9th birthdays

At Caryl and Will's house, the daughters had organised a cake (Jacqui) and magnificent menu of many varied foods and a programme of 'events.

This  included poetic renderings of past scenes, where my beach attire choices came in for some ridicule. Then  a court scene where I was accused by grandchildren prosecutors of having had a pirate ancestor,  of exposing my cousin to traumatic horror films  when young, raiding the Tower of London and various other crimes. Our lawyer-trained granddaughter, Jessica, (engaged to Aidan last week!)  was the judge and I had to represent myself. It was a frame-up! The result, of course,  was of me being lead away to the stocks!

There was also a  photo guessing game.

The birthday cake cleverly included 'happy birthday' letters written as elements from the Periodic Table.

The next day were all at nearby  Carss Park for Elliot's 9th birthday party. Elliot being my first cousin twice removed and our grandchildren's third cousin!
