Nellie's Glen to swinging bridge

In near perfect weather we (7) set off from the road at the bottom of Nellie's Glen at the base of the Megalong valley and walked along the Six Foot Track to the river, crossed the swing bridge and walked to a picnic spot for lunch. To return we crossed the river itself avoiding the bridge (just as well-it only takes one at a time and a party of 10 were crossing as we approached it)

We saw a well camouflaged monitor lizard on a tree, a cave with hundreds of wasps nests and horses at a gymkhana (where does THAT word come from?).

Thanks to Ross (UBMBC) for a great walk!

Covered 17 Kms from 9.00am to 2.00pm including 1 hour for stops.
