New Mad Max film

On a weekend due for one month's rain in two days, all we could think of was top go for a walk!

Out in the coastal sandhills of Kurnell, 15 minutes away, is the film set for another Mad max film. The last one was shot here 37 years ago. The actual site is secured but we got a shot of the main set from a hill on a (very wet) footpath. The structure looks a bit dramatic and we got a closer shot with less rain as well.The large (enormous) marquee, houses the weird machines they built for the film.

The last Mad Max film here featured a crashed plane.

We were well dressed for the weather. Afterwards  we had lunch in cafe 1770 in Kurnell and returned home to dry out our boots, jackets and overtrousers.
