New residential development

Right at Wanda beach and almost sea level, is a new housing development, built on sand--Greenhills.

The houses are huge and almost without any garden area or yard. A sandtrack leads over a sandhill to the beach, about 500m away. Nearby, also fronting the beach, is a 'dog-off-leash' area before 10.00am and after 5.00pm. It has it's own culture. People leave their shoes at one spot and, nearer the beach,  tie their dog-leashes (and dog-poo bags)  onto a crude fence nearer the beach. The place is alive with couples with dogs of all descriptions, plus a few children.
