New Year's Eve and New year's Day
Our Bundeena Band had a big concert at the RSL Club from 9.00pm and it was the most demanding performance we have ever given. At one point I thought I was going to asphyxiate! In compensation, I could see not only the room large TV screen but also the real fireworks across the water to Sydney harbour. It meant I kept losing my place with the music but most times I found my way back into it, under the close scrutiny of our conductor.
There is a pic of some of the band eating then the room where we performed and then --a few hours later--pics of Mary and I and Françoise and her brother Antoine, visiting from France, kayaking up the South West Arm of the Hacking river, in beautiful weather.
