Later I met up with two old high-school mates--Ron and Dave had not met for 50 years, since walking out of the school gates. We visited the school at closing time and were escorted round like the honoured guests we felt ourselves to be!

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
