Opera House --Again!

In a rush of blood to the head--we ordered tickets for the one-and-only performance of the Bach Christmas Oratorio at the Opera House, sung by the London Singers with music by the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

We heard a lot of the audience speaking German and then the programme told us it was sung in German --Aha!

It also lasted about 4 hours--'Aha' again.

As it progressed, it had a sort of calming, soporific effect -quite pleasant. The peformance on instruments of the 17th century made it more interesting as well.

It was a full moon last night, which looked good over the water.
