Moon shot

Picture taken by grandson Louis of moon through his telescope. I recall seeing the moon through a telescope at the same age and being startled at the clarity of the shadows of the mountains.

Louis has developed a fascination for astronomy and things astrophysical. There's so many well illustrated books these days . In my era all we had was Patrick Moore -who was very good and very very very enthusiastic, as those who remember him will recall

He also got a pic of Jupiter with moons Io Ganneymede, Callisto and Europa. They are the four sharper points in the pic.

Recently I have continued kayaking, we had a band concert 'en plein air', Mary had a wisdom tooth successfully extracted in day surgery, jacqui changed jobs to the 'Guardian' (Australia), Lachie and Harry managed to get Covid and the 'flu and I'm still struggling getting and editing pics on this new site, especially editing

Art Exhibition

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
