Jacqui asked for a day kayaking in the school holidays, so we wen t to Reid's Flat at Audley on the Hacking river and paddled to 'Muddy Creek' which ends in a small rapid and waterfall inside the Royal National Park. It was a perfect day for it. We took two doubles and a single for Jacqui.

More recently we were supposed to a walk to the Kurnell lighthouse with a French 'Acceuil' group from Sydney. Just as we got to the start point the heavens opened and, drenched, we quickly repaired to a nice café !

Had to take the pic from outside so a bit of glass reflection included. There were 13 of us I think.

A day or so later I attended a cubscout night where awards were presented for Grey Wolf and one for a Joey scout 'Joey Challenge badge. and two cubs left to go to scouts. Tradition has it in our group that Joeys must climb     a rope ladder outside the hall up the outside of the stairway and cubs are 'hauled up' into an attic room inside  the hall. It was too dark for the outside pic.

It's always uplifting to be in the company of enthusiastic young people and their leaders.
