Today was international 'Jamboree of the Trail' day when scouts worldwide go on a hike somewhere.
We chose the aboriginal rock carvings at Bundeena. Sensible people drove there or caught the ferry. I chose to kayak there!
The carvings are on flat rock and very weathered, so only an outline shows--so we got the scouts to stand at the edge of the whale carving with their arms outstretched and fingers touching.

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
