So well known by so many--but ever appealing, the site now has very realistic reconstructed images of the era. The town also has many street entertainers. The streets and buildings too, are so attractive, as are the shopfronts. One shopfront display proves convincingly that the dance is NOT the hokey-pokey!

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
