Royal Richmond Park

Michael invited us to join him for a bike ride today and our GPS (christened Agatha) took us there via the M4 and M25.

Michael hired the bikes and off we set past the deer, some magnificent trees, lakeside artists and signs authorised by the Secretary of State. Royal Parks are Crown land and not managed by the local authority or forestry commission etc.

For lunch, Michael took us to a Bavarian restaurant, on the

Thames,  near Richmond Bridge and a cup of tea in a huge nursery at Petersham (the ORIGINAL Petersham!)

Traffic back was grim and local driving mood was aggressive, I include a pic of the approach to the M4--not attractive at all!

To finish, I include a pic of Tom and Jacqui's Citroen, Tom's pride (!), a passing hot air balloon and a sign for the S. Bucks Way-- wonderful series ofpaths crossing the chilterns--with a dedicated MP to see that all footpaths nationally, are kept open for the public.
The sky was sort of 'wild', with many vapour trails from near London airport, crossing each other.
